Good work yesterday, better work today

I'd planned to have yesterday be a fairly low-key day. It was supposed to rain and the boys had PDO. I had a lot of online things that I needed to take care of, so I figured that I'd end up having a sedentary morning, but be productive. Boy was I wrong, and I was incredibly glad for it!
While I was dropping my kids off, I ran into my friend Becca. We often get together while our kids are in PDO, sometimes planned, sometimes not. We hadn't had anything planned but decided to get together anyway. She needed to run over to Wal-Mart to pick up lunches for her kids, and I had a bit of shopping I needed to do as well. So we walked around Wal-Mart, picking up the things we needed to get.
Then we talked about going for a walk. It had been awhile since we'd had a chance to go walking because of the weather. But yesterday morning was actually pretty nice out. We headed over to Mills Creek Greenway and walked their smaller circuit. It's about .82 miles and we walked it in 30 minutes. In an unusual turn, I had to slow down for Becca quite a bit. Usually it's the other way around, but she has an excuse - a baby on the way that sometimes gets frustrated with her when she's doing something he doesn't want her to do. By the end of the walk, I didn't feel winded, but I did feel like I got a good work-out.
From there, we headed to Olive Garden for Soup, Salad and Breadsticks. Even though I know it's not the healthiest soup for me, I had chicken and gnocci. I'm just addicted to gnocci! I didn't stuff myself on the unlimited yumminess, and I felt pretty good when I left. I dropped Becca off at her van and planned on going home to get a nap, since I was kinda tired. But instead, I got some of the work done that I needed to do before picking up the kids.
We ended up going to Red Lobster for dinner last night - being Friday, we were looking for a non-meat option and it had been awhile since we'd gone. I had coconut shrimp (I know, I know... another bad food choice. But I hadn't had them in a long time and I love coconut shrimp). I only ate about half my shrimp, but I ate all the broccoli that went with it. And, for both meals, I had water to drink. I'm getting pretty used to it!
Today, we're all going down to the Walk 100 Miles event at Bicentennial Park. We're bringing the new camera we picked up so we can get some great pictures. We're making sure we bring our water bottles so we can keep hydrated. And we're all getting exercise.
The rest of the day isn't quite so "exercise-intensive", but is still going to be pretty full. Rich has tutoring at our local library at 1. Then we're heading to Goodwill to pick up some clothes for the boys. It's their monthly "Everything 50% off" sale and, with kindergarten coming up for Teddy in the fall, I figure it's never too soon to start looking for clothes for him.
I've got a few more swaps that I need to work on - some to print out, some to write, some to copy - but those are for later in the day, or while Rich and the boys are at church tomorrow. Over all, I'm feeling good about the last couple of days and want to keep the momentum going!
