New month....... new goals! Here are my goals for the month of April!
1.) Get back to tracking my nutrition.
I have been slacking on this one lately. I need to get back to the basics and start tracking / measuring again.
2.) Hide the scale for the month of April.
Yikes.... what am I committing too? Yep, I am going to hide that scale for the month of April and see how I do. I weighed in today and I will weigh in again on May 1. That is a long time and I am hoping it pays off. I am going to use how I am feeling and how my clothes are fitting to keep me on track. Logging my nutrition will help as well. Here goes......
3.) Continue on my half marathon training.
As of April 1, I am almost done with week 6 of my half marathon training plan. This is intense training but it will help me reach my goals for my first half. By the end of April I will have run my first 13 miles. I wanted to go on one 13 mile run just to ease my mind. I am making sure it is exactly 13 miles and not over because hey.... I need to save that for my race day!
4.) Dust off my bike and hit the trails.
I just thought of this goal last night because coming home from swimming lessons with my daughter we saw a little boy with his dad out riding. I am itching to get my bike out and with the snow melting and the streets pretty much clear, it is time. In fact.... I think I will clean it up this weekend and make sure it is ready to go. And then I will be on those trails!
5.) Walk with my family at least once a week and pick up trash.
Walking is always something my family enjoys. And it is a perfect time during the spring because there are no bugs, you get to notice life starting over again, and it always feels good to be outdoors again. But spring also uncovers all the trash that the snow was hiding. So for the month of April during our family walks, we will also be picking up trash. It will be a great way to clean up our neighborhood!
