My job can be boring also, when I have finished all my work and I am waiting for new work to come in. This is what I do.
When you feel hungry try a piece of gum. If you are craving sweets the sweet flavored EXTRA gum is awesome...I love the Strawberry Shortcake. If you don't like them, the minty flavored gum will make anything else you try to eat not taste so good anyway.
If your stomach is growling or cramping after 15 minutes with the gum, then you really are hungry and should eat something. Try packing a lot more than you think you can eat in a day. All healthy stuff of course.
Another trick I use is gulping water down. I make myself drink 8 ounces of water in one shot when I think I am starting to get hungry. Again, like the gum, if your tummy "tells" you it's hungry, feed it.
