A Challenge of Change

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

As I was running around the neighborhood this morning, I began to think about just how little time left we have in this neighborhood. We've lived in this house for almost eight years, and it is the only home our youngest daughter has ever known.

Change is a part of life, and we are ready to see what God has next. However, it's the uncertainty that messes with people like me. It's like we can't make preparations to go somewhere when we don't know where just yet.

At least we have a few churches starting to talk with us. However, nothing definite has been mentioned or determined as of yet. While that causes me a little angst, it puts my wife in a tailspin and her nerves are a jumbled mess.

Please pray for Debbie that God would grant her peace, and that God would give us our marching orders sooner rather than later.

Absolutely. I know that when we called our second pastor out of the seminary, he said that was the worst part. He wasn't worried about where he was going, but the waiting was the part that caused the worry.

Change can be really difficult, we tend to grieve the way things were even if we are moving on to a better way. I wish you the best of luck!
