(AKA) Operation Get Thin and Healthy: Days Fourteen through Twenty (Monday through Sunday). Until I reach my goals, I'm following the Eat to Live Plan and moving my body!
This week was really long! I had no time to blog, or cook. I’ve decided that I need to start cooking my food on the weekends and then putting it into individual portion sizes in the freezer for me to heat up for dinner. I had so many recipes planned… (big sigh)! I went out and bought a bunch of Glad-ware today. I’ve had bad luck with freezer bags in the past. Things have gotten freezer burn. I’m hoping the Glad-ware will work better.
It’s been a mixed week. I’ve been keeping up with my exercise. I focus on strength on Monday and Friday. I take an abs class both days and get some time in on the strength machines. If I have extra time I’ll jump on the elliptical or AMT. Tuesdays I do yoga and make sure I get a good burn on the elliptical or AMT. Wednesday and Sunday is X-biking, my favorite class to do. As a bonus, there is a 15-minute abs class after Wednesday’s X-biking. Saturday morning is Zumba class. Thursday has become my rest day from the gym. I’m really enjoying this schedule.
My nutrition, however, has been all over the place. I was great Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Then I played BUNCO on Thursday and I gave in and ate some pretzels and mindlessly ate some jellybeans. I paid for it on Friday morning. It seriously felt like I had been binge drinking the night before. I felt positively hung over on Friday morning. Friday I didn’t feel like eating very much. I had small green smoothies for breakfast and lunch. Then dinner came and I was starving. I completely over ate! Saturday morning my father called and wanted to take my boyfriend and I out to dinner to Olive Garden. In my head, I could only think “This day is shot. Why even try?” I just grazed all morning and afternoon. I ate way too many carbs and nuts. Then dinner came and I ate far too much pasta. I was closer to being on track today, but I ate between meals and had far too many calories. I didn’t even bother to weigh myself this morning. I’m just assuming (hoping!) I maintained.
I’m doing so well with exercise. I don’t want to ruin my progress with my diet. I need to get right back on track tomorrow: green smoothies for breakfast, a big salad and fruit for lunch, and a nice, healthy vegan dinner with lots of veggies. Nothing in between meals. No nonsense!
I CAN do this! I CAN lose the weight and gain health for a lifetime!
