Are you a Lil' Bamboo Tree?... are you persistent?

Saturday, March 26, 2011

You take a little seed, plant it, water it, and fertilize it for a whole year, and nothing happens

The second year you water it and fertilize it, and nothing happens

The third year you water it and fertilize it, and nothing happens. How discouraging this becomes!

The fourth year you water it and fertilize it, and nothing happens. This is very frustrating.

The fifth year you continue to water and fertilize the seed and then...take note. Sometime during the fifth year, the Chinese bamboo tree spouts and grows NINETY FEET IN SIX WEEKS. growing approximately 3 feet per day.

This was taken from the following link:

We must never give up. We may exercise our butts off, eat right, sleep 8 hours, but it seems that nothing is happening. Just like the bamboo tree, persistence is the key. Now, I am not saying it will take 5 years (lets hope and pray it doesn't...lol), but when we are persistent, encouraging, and relentless, we will see results... guaranteed!

There may be people around us, who is losing weight left and right, they may be getting fit at a rate that you think they are taking some kind of steroid pill...But lets not compare ourselves to others. We are each an individual masterpiece, created in a very special way. When we start to look around, we don't look in ourself and see the beauty that we possess!!!

So okay my " lil' Bamboo Trees"..... are you persistent, no matter what the scale shows? Lets drink our water, feed our bodies, get some sun, exercise, and most of all encourage each other...... So we can be all that we are supposed to be!!!
