I did my usual workout tonight and had quite a while left before my other half was going to be finished so thought I would do some extra shoulders. I did some side lat raises and shrugs to finish off my shoulders as they didnt feel too bad after my workout.
Then I noticed my other half was doing deadlifts at 200kg (440lbs) so I thought i would jump in and have a go, not at 200kg though. lol
I have not done heavy deadlifts since before christmas so was a bit cautious when my other half left 100kg (220lbs) on the bar. The most I have done is 135kg (297lbs) when i was really training heavy.
But I felt good so what the hey, give it a go! I did 10 reps which actually felt pretty easy too, so not lost my touch and feel like I could have easily done more.
So being as vain as I am, plus wanting to check form I asked him to take some pictures of me doing them and thought I would share.
I dont think they are too bad actually. I might try to get a video next time. All of these tools are really helpful because they will all go into my final journey write up.
I am just really pleased that although I am not lifting heavy I have not lost my strength.
