I reached one of my mini weight goals, so I rewarded myself with a long soak in the bubble bath. Aaaaaaahhhhhh, so nice! I read a book and soaked for a whole hour. Granted, it was 11:30 pm before I could get my me time, but I am SOOO glad I did. This is the life of a domestic goddess, it takes along time before you can have time to yourself. I am reading a book about motherhood. It is hilarious and uplifting all at once. I will share some excerpts when I get a chance. Have a wonderful night all! Next reward is a microderm abrasion kit when I reach 166.

It's good to reward yourself. It's hard to make the reward contingent on something you do. I like Sushi, but I give it to myself even though I may not have done anything special to deserve it. To make the bubble bath contingent on reaching your goal, and not giving it to yourself for other reasons, is a good way to manage self control with the methods of operant conditioning, positive reinforcement for example. Nice blog post. Dave

Great rewards for reaching your goals! Mini goals are a great way to go so that you have lots to celebrate along the way. I set about 20 & have been reaching 2 a month.

Wishing you all the best on your journey.
