Trying to begin again...

Monday, March 21, 2011

I have been stuck in a rut since before the holidays. I put a few pounds back on, but not too much. I have been maintaining my weight now for several months. I bounce around between 178 and 182. I need to get my mind re-motivated to start tracking my calories. I exercise regularly. I am actually training to run a half-marathon in May. I ran 7 miles on Saturday. I just can't seem to get back to eating healthy. I don't eat horrible, but I know I am consuming more calories than I should in order to start dropping again. I just re-adjusted my weight ticker to this morning's weigh in and am trying to get it together. I want to look good in my summer clothes and not be embarrassed in a swim suit. My legs look good from all of the running, but I need to do some work on my upper body and my mid-section. I need to re-incorporate strength training and continue doing my crunches as I get back to losing so that the last 40 lbs that is hanging around mostly around my mid section can disappear forever!! To a great summer!!

I am in the same rut Carrie. Have been for quite a while now. I have decided to get through my Mini traininig, and then get back on the weightloss track. I have been told by alot of people that long distance training can make weightloss difficult. Making fitness a priority during your training is key, and then it will be an easier habit to maintain when you start counting your calroies more diligently!

    Good luck!
