Two questions.. Your answers please (you could have a answer for everyone)

Saturday, March 19, 2011

Hi there this nice and early (early enough that I should have been sound asleep and the birds weren't even up) I was thinking Ok I have 10 kilos left to get to my goal weight I want to achieve, what can I do that Im doing now but add to start focusing on toning the looseness of my skin and eat that's enjoyable and different to my usual.

So I would love my SP friends to share

* one or more activities ( exercises ) they enjoy doing and found it works, if it works a certain area also let me know ...

* your favorite food or and drink ( shake, snack, fruit, veg, meal, recipe ) I'm quite boring when it comes to this area and seem not to change my habits or try new things in fear of waste or dislike, I'm sure being a extreme tight budget shouldn't allow me to be boring! So let me know what you enjoy maybe you have something nice for breaky or it's a energy snack or family fav doesn't matter!

Would like as much feedback as possible if you can xxx Tricia

Bodyrock tv. Google it on computer she puts on diffrent workouts and challenges daily.

These full body exercises are a challange they can be hard but oh so worth it and bring change to the body quickly.

The best part all free and you can do it at home.

I do these every second day.

I would have to say my walking app is my fave. If you have an ipod you can download it. Its called 'Get Running' and has a blue sneaker as its icon. It starts off walking and then you do running for one minute, then you go back to walking. etc. Its really good ! Also I now have porridge for brekky with honey, cinnamon and peaches (tinned). My fave lunch would be mountain bread wholemeal with shaved turkey and veggies such as lettuce, red onion, avocado, red pepper, anything you like really ! And a little low fat ranch dressing....Yum. Then for dinner I like steamed chicken or fish with steamed brown rice and raw veggies like cauli, broccoli, carrots. But if you dont like raw then steamed is great too ! I had to cut out ALL sugar ( I had too much) and white bread. I also cut out potatoes but substituted with sweet potatoe. Its beautiful roasted with those shake spices like all spice, etc. I lost 4 kilos pretty quick that way. I also do squats, crunches and wall push ups. Good luck Trish !!! x

you have some great idea there Trish.
I like the smoothie one. I too make it really thick and eat with a spoon. just like a dessert..

as for budget buy in season.
I buy what is cheapest in the fruit section.
the kids eat it too and is cheaper than all the processed crap.seedless grapes were only $2.98 kilo last week and watermelon was 89 cents. pears are not a bad price either.
for kids lunches they are eating burritos at the moment
a slice of ham. some mixed lettuce etc roll up and wrap.
    makes a change from sangers

    Hi Tricia!

    * one or more activities ( exercises ) they enjoy doing and found it works, if it works a certain area also let me know ...

I found the indoor rower (ergometer) to be an amazing workout for just about every body part. I love that my hips and butt feel wobble-y after a great workout - that's how you know you're movin'!

    * your favorite food or and drink ( shake, snack, fruit, veg, meal, recipe )

I am a vegetable fiend! I love sliced vegetables in salsa (and I don't even miss the chips!). I also like to snack on almonds.

    Enjoy your weekend!

I really like Pilates for toning. I do interval workouts and spinning but still love the core strength that I get from Pilates.

I love smoothies - if you add ice and frozen fruit (peach is my favorite) they come out almost like ice cream. I make them thick enough that I need a spoon.

Keep up the good work. You will get there!

Workout DVD at home- then you can jiggle all you like and no one will see it. Try Disco Abs or a Zumba programs. The more you jiggle now, the less you will later.

Try Very Vanilla Soy Milk. It tastes like melted ice cream and it comes in single portions.
    Good luck.
