Met a mini goal! (25% down, 75% to go)

So Friday is my weekly weigh-in day and I had a pleasant surprise this morning. I dropped 2 pounds and am now down to 212.5. That's a total of 17.5 pounds lost. But even more importantly, I've broken the 25% mark, according to my weight tracker.
My next goal is to reach ONEderland and be under 200 pounds. I have not been under 200 pounds since getting married in 1998. That's when I threw my scale out and when I got back on a scale a few months later, I was dismayed to find I had gained 15 pounds.
That is why I will never be without a scale again.
Anyway, until I came to SP, I never had a weight-loss goal other than "lose weight". But with my sister getting married in September, that gave me a target to reach for. SP said I should aim to lose no more than 2 pounds per week, and that is how I came up with 65 pounds to lose by September 4. To stay on track, I should be where I am today 2 weeks ago, but I am OK with being 2 weeks late. I was on a plateau for a month and it was really annoying because I was doing everything right. I never thought I'd hit a plateau so soon in my journey. I thought they were things that you ran into after a year or so! Now I know. But I kept at it, and am sure glad I did!
Someone asked if I was going to reward myself for reaching my mini goal. The best reward is losing the weight! Yeay me!
