Eagles have landed...

Thursday, March 17, 2011

A pair of bald eagles have returned to their nest near Libby Dam in northwestern Montana. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, who operates the dam, has installed a video camera that looks into this nest. Here's the link to the video, which auto-refreshes about every 10 seconds.

So far, they are just cleaning house and rearranging the furniture and doing a bit of remodeling, but eggs should be laid in the near future.

Here's the Corps of Engineers website with information about the area, the nest, and some information on eagles.

Since the Corps has other duties, they don't always update the information on their site in a timely manner, so here's a link to the LibbyMT.com page that has more timely information and has periodic updates of the camera view.

Enjoy...

Have a good weekend.
