Healthy Family!

For the first time in this "health journey" of mine, I was able to get the entire family involved. I left work somewhat early today so I could get home and take advantage of this gorgeous weather for working out. I told the family ahead of time to be ready for a family walk on the trail (a great thing about our house is that it's right ON the trail). So, we all set off and walked a good two miles. And, if you've seen my status, you'll know that this was the first time we've ever walked the trail and had all three little ones walk by themselves the entire way. It was AMAZING! No back pain or twisted ankles for Mom and Dad. Hooray! I was so proud of my kids. And they didn't complain even once! (In fact, Daddy complained more than anyone! But he has a bad knee and had physical therapy on it today, so I guess he's got a decent excuse.) emoticon

So we're home now and I'm making tilapia and couscous and sauteed carrots for dinner. So proud of my family and proud of myself too. Feeling great!

    This is too cool! Gotta love it when the biggest kid is the biggest problem...LOL.
    I got one like that too, double knee surgery 30 years ago and in addition to knee pain, also got GBS from a flu shot 10 years ago. It's so difficult to get and stay physically active without an equally able hubby, and this I know well. Keep taking the kids on that walk yourself, and put him in charge of the kids when you return. It might work out better for both of you!
