Well, Hi There

It has been a crazy (mixed crazy) couple of months since I last wrote. But I promised Anastasia (and myself, really) that'd I get back into this.
Health first. I haven't weighed myself, though I don't *really* need to; I know I have had to put on a few more pounds so that I'm much closer to 240 than 230 :( I was crazy busy in February and sick the first part of March. It's food, it's exercise, it's everything and I'm tired of how it feels and looks. Simple as that.
I started drinking water again this week; about half of my fluid (and I'm almost back up to eight glasses again) is water. Diet soda is such a challenge for me, because I like the fizzy (and *no* fizzy water is not an option, yuck). Fast food hasn't been so bad this month, and I've eaten more at home. But again, veggies are a challenge.
I feel like getting back to rowing *this* year is out given the cost ($800 or $900 a year with full fees for equipment and coaching) plus, and I've said it before and I hope all of you understand- I'm TOO BIG. Racing shells are narrow, and this butt is not going to fit in that seat. So aside from gym time, maybe some outdoor running later on, I hope to play lots more tennis. Though I need someone to play with that is better than Nick, lol (sorry sweetie).
Last month I burned myself out pretty badly at Forty Plus. I worked so hard to put all these events together, and I had Junior League and it was just *crazy.* No real surprise I got sick, it was like my body said, "No, sweetie, we're not going to keep doing this." However I did start working a teeny tiny bit- for pay, lol. I'm working at the Institute for Japanese Studies at OSU 10 hours a week helping the Assistant Director in general, and preparing for the summer programs.
Food's not to bad but I haven't had dinner yet (and it's St. Patty's Day so we're going out)
Exercise: Killed myself a bit at the gym last night (1.5 hours cardio and weights) Plus today I biked a good seven miles, driving from Dublin to Clintonville-Como Park and biking the rest of the way to South Campus then around campus and back again, lol.
Sleep: Was awful. This whole week has been bad, I can't sleep at night even though I'm super tired. I got *maybe* four hours last night? And work at IJS was epic, lots of fires to put out, I actually went over my ten hours this week because of today. I came home a slept for another three hours or so (work plus the biking? yeah, like I wasn't going to come home and die).
Tomorrow: Day off! And Nick's at work all day, so it's all me (a good/bad thing). To do: work in the yard, wash/clean the car, a load of laundry. Write up lots of e-mails, organize for next week, do some genealogy stuff (genie stuff on Saturday), read, edit new story (I'm writing fanfiction!) complete my newest video (fan video- I am no longer scared of video editing software, yay!).
Upcoming cool stuff I'm doing:
Japan-America Society anniversary dinner with the Consul General of Japan from Detroit.
Webinar with Fareed Zakaria
Charles Kupchan lecture on diplomacy and peace at the Mershon Center (book ordered, will come on Monday/Tuesday)
Junior League Social at Mia Cucina
Madeleine Albright lecture at Dennison
If you should be so keen as to want to see my fanvideo work, this is my user name over on YouTube as well. My writing? Only if you ask really nicely, I'm nervous about sharing that information with people who know me, lol.
