I'd Rather Be SQUATING!
Thursday, March 17, 2011
I just want to say that I’d rather be doing 6 million squats a day then write a blog. I have a college degree…in MATH (you know…where the letters are attached to numbers?). I’m impressed I got it because they want you to write papers and stuff AND they want it to flow and be readable and completely expect you to use real words. They really don’t like words like conversate and whuck and shmidt. Can you believe the nerve of those professors? But I’m doing it. “Why?” you ask. I want to be healthy on the outside AND the inside. I don’t want to cringe when I look in the mirror OR inside my head. I want to be a WARRIOR! So here I am.
It’s really important for me to have my family involved with this…so they’ve been on the water/fiber kick also. I’ve learned a valuable lesson in this. 7 people (even if 5 are little people) on a high fiber/water diet means there are never enough bathrooms or windows. OMGoodness! The first part of the week was interesting. Plus they want to do my exercises with me. I was doing squats in the kitchen and the 20 month old was doing them with me…well until he stopped, looked at me, pointed to his bum and said, “OW mommy, OW,” then he sat down and cheered me on! We are all having big fun.
Thanks to the article on nutrition, we’ve cut out most butter. I read up on a butter-olive oil conversion chart. It now hangs in the kitchen. I would have never found it without all of YOU! This is going to be an exciting 100 days. Even though I must blog.
