Thursday, March 17, 2011

on weekends i work midnights shifts so i sleep most of the day so i don't get to eat a lot of healthy meals or workout during the day so i thought i would start walking to work witch is a 3km walk that could be one way i could get some movement in to my day and i could eat a healthy breakfast before going to bed and get up a little earlier so that i can eat a good meal before going to work and pack a nice healthy meal for at work so i am not eating the deep fry mozza sticks (they are so good lol) so that is my plans for the weekend if any one has any tips on how i can fit more fitness in to my weekends or other tips for me about the weekend i would like that emoticon

you have a good plan for your healthy eating and snacks, I like the idea of walking to work, I would try and catch some extra exercise in on your breaks, you can do some stretching and strength training in between your walking/running cardio on the way to work. Keep up the great work, you are doing emoticon

Walking to work is a great idea. If you can't do that (because of weather or whatever), I would recommend still trying to get 30 minutes of cardio in before work. It will get you revved up for the night ahead.

Do you have breaks? If so, you can sneak off for a quick exercise break. You could do things like wall chest presses (push ups against the wall), wall squats, bicep curls or shoulder presses with cans or other things from the restaurant, calf raises anywhere there's a step, and stretches. You could do quick 5 minute exercise breaks -- and probably sneak them in in locations where no one would even see you!

I like your plan to pack healthy food. That's the best way to make the right choices!! Drink lots of water too.
