Back At It!

After realizing that my excuses not to run outside were adding up, I finally signed up for the gym!

I haven't been in the gym since June 2010. I was still working out after then, but the occurences became less and less when it became too cold out. I love running outdoors, but sometimes it's way too cold in Boston to run (personally).

By the time I signed up for the gym last night, they were about to close. I was able to run 2 miles at least. I left with a red face lol. I felt good though. I felt like I was getting back on track.

I woke up this morning at 5:30AM to workout. THIS IS HUGE FOR ME. I always struggled to wake up early to workout. It helped that my boyfriend was motivating me to get up. We headed to the gym bright & early. I ran 2 miles and did some upper body/core exercises. Oh yea, I really don't like the dreadmill :(

I have an appointment with a personal trainer next week. That will be interesting. My goals are to: tone up, prepare for half marathon & work on my core strength.

    Woohoo!!!! Welcome back :)
    As difficult as it is to get up at the butt crack of dawn, aren't early morning workouts the best? I always feel so energized and happy the rest of the day. I just got back to my early morning routine recently, and it has changed everything for the better. How is your running going?

    Way to go. I lived in the Boston area for six years. Way too cold!!! Enjoy your trainer!
