Running my 1st 5 k!

I wanted to blog sat. but my dad had to go in the hospital. As you know he is battling ALS, and he had respiratory problems. He is still there but doing better.
But I finally mustered up enough courage to sign up for that 5 k that I've been wanting to do forever. It is in 3 weeks and I'm very excited about it.
My goals for these 3 wks in preparation:
1) Track my food every day. (good so far)
2) Stay away from white refined foods, sweets and sugar drinks
3) Jog/run some at least 6 days/wk
4) Do ST 2 x's a wk
5) Be able to jog/run the entire 5k(no walking)
6) Be under 200lbs (at 202 today)
I'm super excited, I've always wanted to do a race and never had the courage. Thanks to Spark people I'm planning on accomplishing this goal on April 2nd. It's called the Hog Jog.(started not to sign up) lol
I measured out w/ my car a 5 k on my rd. and my daughter and I jogged it Sun. We finished in 45 min. We did have to walk 3 different times but only for a couple of min each. So, I was pretty proud of both of us.
Any suggestions or help you can offer on my training for it, would be greatly appreciated.
