Depression, Sparking at the Dr's Office, and My Chi Chi

emoticon Guys,

Finally, I have my emoticon back! It has a new hard drive, more memory than my brain can hold, and is virus free! emoticon It has been ready to crash for such a long time, but you know how we are--got to get all the juice out of the thang before we consider it emoticon ! This is the depressing part of my blog, it really hurt. Have you ever heard "When it emoticon it emoticon?" That statement is so true! Not only did the emoticon tear up, but everything that I depended on daily to work forever ( emoticon right!) decided to tear up or break down at the same emoticon! For example: like the heating and air furnace ( had it for 25 years), the car, the washer, I lost my cell phone emoticon, I'll emoticon here but the list could go on. I don't know which one is worse being without a emoticon or being without a cell phone! I walked around like a lost emoticon. emoticon depression just set in big time! I forgot for a minute who answers my emoticon or how to emoticon. It didn't take long though to remember where my emoticon comes from! This too shall all pass....

Speaking of a lost emoticon. I had one of those for a emoticon also! This happened around emoticon Day. The grandkids seen how I just loved their new emoticon and made so much of him that they decided to surprise me. They had also heard me say that I would love to have a new emoticon. Be careful what you wish for emoticon in front of little emoticon's! My daughter and grandkids had dropped by the pet store to pick up something and met an older emoticon in the store who was showing the clerk a picture of a beautiful 6 month old (?) emoticon. She was telling him how she could not keep the emoticon any more and was looking for a good family to take care of it. It was a beautiful black Cockapoo (half Cocker Spaniel and half Poodle for those of you that are like me and don't know what this word means). She said that the emoticon was given to her by someone at emoticon emoticon time and that they called her and she answers to the name Chi Chi. That is all it took the emoticon turned on! Grandma needs a emoticon ! So they told her about me and picked the emoticon up and gave her to me on emoticon Day as my special emoticon! I was so in emoticon I didn't know if my depression was getting better or taking a turn for the emoticon! I was getting use to her, but she was so scared of us and looked like she just wanted to emoticon. My husband says well I will take her out and try and get her to potty. I said emoticon, dear! So she went outside and ran away! We looked everywhere for the emoticon! We called, and called and called! She never came back. I just emoticon! The woods we live around are full of bobcats, snakes, bears so I was really afraid that Chi Chi was dead!

My son always feeds the neighbors emoticon next door, because we could look and count the ribs poking out. He always left the food outside in a dish with some fresh water at night. He noticed the dog was still hungry in the morning so he waited until the emoticon came up in the afternoon when he got home to feed it. He realized something was eating the food he put out. Out of the edge of the woods he saw Chi Chi watching him. He grabbed her and put her in the house. We gave her a bath and cleaned her up! She is finally getting to know us and love us, and we love her!

You know they say a door never shuts for someone without another opening. I believe that! I had to go to my new doctor in January. I really was scared about this because I loved my old one. I had gained weight and he noticed the UTI's that I had experienced within the past year and told me he wanted me to see an Urologist. He made the appointment and I went. She wanted to know what type of exercise I did. I told her that I emoticon . I also told her that for the last 2 months that I had not been doing this, and the UTI's have stopped. She said good, I don't want you back in the water emoticon any more. She feels that there was something in the chemicals that was bringing it on, as they did not use regular chlorine, but some new type of chemical. She asked if there was some type of exercise that I could do besides emoticon. She said do you have a emoticon? I said, yes. She said, "Great!" " Why not emoticon ?" " Do you have a local park in your neighborhood?" I said, "Yes, one just opened!" She said, " Well that would be great exercise for when it is nice outside. What about when it emoticon or is cold out?" Yes, I have a emoticon. So I guess my emoticon days are over for now! I truly believe that the God I worship is right on time-- all the time! Chi Chi is the answer to my emoticon. I always wanted a friend to emoticon with me at the park! She is just that, except sometimes she likes to emoticon! know the walk is doing her good also. This is motivating me even more, to think about her health also! Here are some picture's of her, and Nathan (my grandson), and his emoticon he adopted:

Went back to my new regular Dr. today after getting the emoticon out of the shop. I stepped on the emoticon not really emoticon weather I had lost any or not! I was that depressed and aggravated. I have decided it is not all about the emoticon any more, but about my health and how I feel in my emoticon and soul! I had lost 3 pounds. emoticon I was armed with ammunition though when going in. I had printed off my nutrient tracker and exercise tracker, printable exercise video from my diabetic challenge, email notice where I had won 2 gift certificates for the SP store and The Abbot Store (Glucerna), and put them in a loose leaf binder which I entitled" My Journal". I also put in the note columns on these trackers my blood glucose readings several times a day, how I felt, and what was going on this day. This helped me remember why I ate, felt, and exercised this way. My recent A1C was also available. This doctors mouth gaped open. How did you do this. I had told him about how emoticon the last time I was there! I guess showing some people is better than words and opens eyes. He said, "Is this all free?" He took it in his lap and looked for a long time. Then he looked at me and said, " emoticon for showing me this April. I know everyone is not as computer savvy as you, but some are." I told him it was not that hard and everyone helped everybody on this site. "I will be sending others to this website" he said. Please keep doing what you are doing and I will see you and your journal in three months.

God is good and emoticon What a Blessed day!

    Hi April,
I am glad to see you are doing better. I have been having some of the same issues you experienced. I am trying to get back into regular exercise. I did get your post card . I thought I thanked you. Maybe not, as I said things have been up and down.

DH and I walked in the park together today. He had surgery in February and is convalescing. We are going to start walking everyday. I walked half a mile on my treadmill yesterday.

You new family member is cute! She will get better the more you walk her. i think we are going to start taking Louie to the Park. We'll wait until he has his check up. He turned 13 last week.

Take care and Big Hugs my friend,

You're so right in what you said, about God always knowing what we need, sometimes in advance, lol. The number of times that kind of thing has happened in my life, even in the past 18 months or so is unbelievable. I now just accept things that happen as a gift from God, cos He knows that sometime soon I'm going to need whatever it is.

Your grandchildren are truly angels, and I'm sure they knew what they were doing when they arranged for Chi Chi to come live with you. I finally persuaded my dogs to go walking with me last night - Ned has been frightened to go through the gate or have his leash put on after wandering away from the old house when I took him over there with Keiodie for what I imagined would be an afternoon's entertainment for both of them - checking out a new and interesting range of scents. Was I wrong! Anyway, Ned was happy to go walking with me last night, and so was Keiodie, so tomorrow morning we will go for another short walk, and another tomorrow evening. That way Ned will get used to enjoying being out of the back yard without staying away for too long. We will build up to the long walks we all loved before he decided to 'lose himself', lol.

Congratulations on the wonderful 3 pound loss April, you are doing great! No wonder your doctor was impressed, being shown all the effort you put into regaining your good health. You truly are an inspiration!

Be well, be happy, and enjoy your new walking companion, my wonderful friend,

Oh, my sweet friend! You give me hope. Chi Chi is lovely. She's bigger than I thought she would be, so that's good. Give you a little run for your money at the park.

I'm sorry you had to give up swimming. I was told by my doctor no more running or jumping. I had just started jogging on my treadmill and was so excited. So, it's time to let go of that and do all the wonderful things we CAN do!

God bless you, and thanks for sharing your troubles and your successes with us. I keep thinking, if April can get through all of that, I can get through my stuff!!!

Good for you for sharing SP especially at a place where the info will be pass on still further!!

So thankful you got Chi Chi back! My new dog ran away too and was gone for almost 2 days. The local sheriff found in trying to get out of the river where she slid in. Her rear legs were stuck in the mud at the bottom. She would have died that night but the sheriff said "something" just told him to 'look over there' when he was driving on his ATV along dirt roads near some campsites. Something??? My whole family was praying! So we should say "Somebody". The sheriff took her to the Humane Society and they called me because they scanned her chip. Praise the Lord for the return of the lost!

Awesome blog! So glad to see you back as I wondered where you were. I hope your puppy brings you as much joy as ours has. Our little girl is now 9 months old and is such a part of our lives! She loves to run in the wind, so I need to make sure I have a good hold on the leash when it's windy! Her getting out of the yard is my biggest fear. So happy you found your Chi Chi!

Congrats on the 3 pound loss!!! WTG! Wishing you continued success on your journey!
