Never Underestimate The Power of a Visit to the Hair Salon
Thursday, March 10, 2011
I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror as I prepared myself to greet this day, and almost screamed! My hair looked incredibly bad...and I don't mean just "I am having a bad hair day". Actually, I have consciously been ignoring my hair for about 5 months now. The last haircut I had was incredibly short and poorly done. So, I figured I would let it "grow out" for a while before checking out a new hair salon.
Deciding this was definitely the day, I left my house and drove about 3 miles to the nearest salon. I must have looked like a major makeover case, because the owner of the salon (about my age) came straight to me and said, "What can I help you with today?" I replied, "I have got to do something about this hair." In a kindly fashion, she said "Why don't you come over here and sit down and let's talk about what you have in mind."
I put myself in her capable hands and walked out looking like a new woman! Miracles do happen. Needless to say, the rest of my day has been fantastic! My hair looks good and I just know everyone I encountered was thinking, "Wow, her hair looks really good!" So, I went to the dollar store, the supermarket and the pharmacy to give adequate exposure to my glorious hair. I stood taller, walked more, smiled much more and felt confident and happy. Then, I went home and my husband said, "Wow!!!" Need I say more?
