To the community

I offer my sincerest apologies to the 5% challenge community regarding my communication absence. This unfortunate event has cause significant confusion within the participants and for that I am truly sorry. But, life is often about survival and after almost a year of unemployment, I have two and a half poor paying jobs to make ends meet. So my 82 hours of work is compounded by home activities, exercise and sleep. There are only 168 hours in a week. And that is all there is.

For those who think I am purposefully causing confusion. Shame on you. We all do our best regardless of the situation. So try to do yours. Well, I have spent my allotted 10 minutes posting everything I could today and hope to be able to make contact later on this evening or later this week.

Be your best. Do your best. Be at peace.

Thanks so much for the time you sacrifice to do this. I admire you for all the hard work you do to make ends meet. First and foremost, please take care of yourself. All you leaders are awesome and so what if there is some confusion about points . Clarifications are posted and we can live with that. The main thing is team work and an attitude of "lets work together" to do the best we can to be healthier people.

Vince - it is what it is ... I'm one of the leaders and I was confused about points - but I just chalked it up to the fact that I can't read ... I thought that reading was something I had mastered some time ago - but now I'm not so sure! - LOL.

It's fine - ... today & tomorrow and this part of the challenge will be over. There is a lot to coordinate within the smaller teams . . . even more to coordinate for the overall challenge. Don't worry about it.

Glad that you are still here 'Sparking' - despite the new job(s) ... DH has been out of work for over a year - that's NEVER happened before ...it's rough out there, but hang in there. . .

    Hi, Vince,

I should have posted something to the Discussion Board on the main 5% site, but I hope that y'all know that I am floored--FLOORED--at how much time and effort coordinating this challenge must take for all of the leaders, and I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate it.

Not gonna lie. This week's challenge calculations WERE a little confusing for me. But is that your fault? NO. With almost 500 people in the challenge, someone's going to get confused every week. We don't all communicate in the same ways or read things the same ways or word things the same ways, so it's going to happen. That it was more or different people this week is in NO WAY a reflection on you as a leader or a communicator.

And BRAVO on calling out those who got on your case about it. I second your "Shame on you" and add an exclamation point to the end!

I'm sorry you're under so much stress with--holy moly!--82-hour workweeks. That you can balance that with the leadership on this challenge and with family and other obligations and still have time to sleep and eat and exercise and lose weight is absolutely incredible! You are AMAZING!

Thank you for taking your precious little free time and using it to help us.

No worries. If someone wants to blame their confusion on you, let that be their problem! Hang in there, and rock it when you can... if for no other reason just to have some time to feel good for yourself! ((hugs))

I don't know who was trying to put fuel on the fire, but forget it.

Sounds like you're doing more in 1 day than I do in a week or 2. Just remember - you need "me" time so be sure to schedule that in emoticon

Vince, You do what you need to do and don't worry about the team here. I wasn't aware of any confusion that could be blamed on you, and I'm sorry to hear that has happened. Just try and take good care of yourself, and when you are able to check in here, we'll be here! Prayers for your peace of mind and strength!

Things happen, we understand. You have a lot of conflicting obligations right now. Try to find a little time for yourself to focus on your goals so you don't get too overwhelmed with work. It is easy to put your health last when time gets tight.

Vince, I'm so sorry that you don't have the time to do everything you'd like to on Spark. May I make you the same offer that was made to me when I was recovering from the
Shingles ... "Use your time to socialize and let the other leaders carry the load for now."

It sounds like you are under a great deal of stress, and we don't want to add to it.

Hi Vince, I'm so glad to hear from you. I don't think anyone thought you were purposely causing confusion. I know you were missed, and people were concerned about you. I was very happy to see your post on TB's this morning and to know you are ok.

As you said, life often is about survival and obligations sometimes need to be prioritized. My continued prayers are with you for your load to ease, and your work situation to improve.

Life itself is confusing most of the time! I wasn't confused, but for those that were, things are working out. Don't worry about anything. Good luck. Wish the jobs were better, but at least it's something. We'll catch you when we can.

I must have missed the whole confusion thing becuase I am not confused at all. These are supposed to be FUN and encourage us to lose weight.

I can understand a good competition but nothing is going to be absolutely perfect.

We all have our lives to lead on top of trying to be good supportive SP Pals to one another.

You have not let me down at all! I hope your situation gets better but good for you for exercising and leading a healthy lifestyle while going through this!

We all have problems that sometimes keep us from being here. But know that you are thought about and missed when you are not here. We all know that sometimes things happen to confuse people but it is not intentional. That is what leaders are for to try and help. Some times they have the answers and sometimes they don't but thye do know where to look. So be assured that there are others out here to help you.

I hope your jobs are at least enjoyable because it is so hard to work at something you dislike.

Being part of the 5% community...The thought never even crossed my mind that you (or anybody else for that matter) was purposefully being confusing! It was just a hiccup in the road on our way to Tokoyo...who knew until we began the challenge that is was going to be confusing! It's all good...

Now, on to more important things...take care of you! Have an incredible week...and may your team do great...and may the Shooting Stars just do a tidbit better! emoticon
