I should probably stop being overly optimistic when I buy clothes...

Sunday, March 06, 2011

I went shopping with my boyfriend today. We went to PacSun because their jeans were buy one get one free, but they only had one pair in my size!!! Ugh! They had ONE 7S, no 7R either. I decided to be optimistic and get a pair of 5's, thinking that I can fit into them sometime in the near future. When I got home I tried them on and they wouldn't even zip up...ahhhh. We also went to Forever 21 and I got two shirts and a skirt, all in a medium. When I got home I tried on the tight :( I should have gotten a large, ugh. I hate trying things on in the store because the lines are ridiculous (especially in Forever 21) and I hate making my boyfriend wait for me while I shop, so I always pick what I think would fit me. I guess I should start trying things on more often. Otherwise it was a fairly successful day. I picked up my promise ring and it's soooo cute and pretty. I love it. Now I'm going to watch The Amazing Race.

I learned my lesson the hard way too. I try to go shopping when the mall isn't that busy so I don't have to wait in line, but I always, always, always try on clothing before I buy it - even if it's the same thing but in a different color. Then again, I tend to only go clothes shopping by myself.

It's rare that I'll buy anything online. Usually it's only to replace something that I already have or if they store has a reliable sizing chart. Even then I'm still hesitant and will only buy simple things like t-shirts.

I hear you today I tried on a pair of size 12 jeans I think that is a 10 US they were tight around my middle. Yuk. I tried on a really nice green sweater which was shorter at the front and longer at the back.It sat all wrong and I am so glad I tried it. I hate dressing rooms they have the most horrible lighting and You can see every lump and bump not to mention angle. OH holy god. Well you never know unless you try on as one size is completely different to another that may have the same size written on the tag. I do love shopping though

The stuff at Forever 21 is notoriously small. It's funny since every other store seems to be into vanity sizing.
