Today I went to my orthopedic doctor. My knee has been very achy, and it has been hard to walk upstairs. He said my knee has a form of arthritis called chrondromalacia, which is basically the wearing down of the cartilage under the knee cap. The 1st course of treatment will be an injection of a medicine that has to be approved by my insurance because it is a very expensive therapy. This should help the pain for a minimum of 6 month to a year. It will be a couple of weeks before I will be able to get it. When I do, he said I will need to take a couple of days off from exercise.
I didn't do well on low carb today. I made some zucchini bread for my daughter to take to a band at a concert tonight. They had stayed here a year ago and have raved about my zucchini bread everytime they have talked to her. She also made some chocolate chip cookies. Needless to say I gave in and had some of each. I just had yogurt for lunch, so I was able to stay within my calorie range.
