I've been at this weight loss thing for over two months now and I've barely lost five pounds. I've been eating all the right foods. Lots of lean protein, vegetables and some fruit. Low carbs. I've been writing down every single morsel that goes into my mouth and haven't exceeded 1200 calories/day. I've been exercising like crazy. At least 45 minutes/day five days a week of brutal Tae Kwon Do. Been withholding the Diet Sunkist sodas, which I think makes me retain water. Yet the scale doesn't budge.

Last week I actually saw a bit of weight loss. And that motivated me to work even harder at the weight loss thing. Much to my surprise, the scale says I've gained a pound. WTF? How does that even happen? Something's not right here.

Anyone have this experience? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Sounds really frustrating! I bet that as long as you're taking car of your body, the switch will flip eventually! Meanwhile, it's good to keep evaluating your plan.

When you keep track of your food, are you plugging it into SparkPeople or something similar that keeps up with nutrition? I wonder if you're getting a lot of sodium, and maybe holding water. Just a thought!

Speaking of water, are you drinking plenty of water?
