Five days down

Friday, March 04, 2011

Whew! This has been one of those marathon weeks - running from one appointment to the next. Other than one allergist appointment for an injection next week, and calling the hospital on Tuesday to get the surgery schedule for Wednesday, I do not have doctor's appointments. Monday I am scheduled to speak with the phone health coach through my insurance before my surgery, and later that afternoon some of the sweet ladies from church are coming over to help me finish the cleaning - the stuff the husbands and guys never think of. It will be a help, because I am limited with how much and how long I can clean. I also know there will be limitations on what I can do afterward.

The rest of my time is not earmarked.

Although I did not reach the weight loss goals I wanted to before surgery, I know that my body and breathing is so much stronger, and I have maintained most of the weight lost. It will not be a point of stress for me.

As I approach this final countdown I think it is important to focus on proper nutrition, water, keeping up my pt stretches, and sleep, rest, and eliminating stress. So, even though my invisible list is smaller, I am actually going to knock stuff off the list, and KISS it (Keep it simple silly).

So, with that in mind, I am heading to bed to sleep!

Keeping you in my prayers and just relax and Let God have control - at this point you need to just be calm and relaxed and rested for your surgery.

Deborah, I am so glad the church ladies are going to come help do some of that stuff! Maybe they'll get familiar with where things go, etc., and so when you're laid up for a while, they'll feel comfortable knowing what they're doing! I hope your spirits are up and you're all ready for this surgery to heal what has been ailing you for so long! emoticon

Looks like you're on track. Busy, Busy time. Good going, girl!

BTW, you can send those "sweet ladies" over to my house when they're done. lol

That is the only way to deal with it!
I have no less than seven trips to make this week, finishing with two today in some of the coldest weather we have had! My coming weeks of three PT appointments is going to seem boring by comparison.
So very glad you have people rallying around you to help out.. Guys are useless when it comes to cleaning..
Here is to a stress free count down..

My prayers are with you. And I chuckle at your KISS it - - I'm going to start using that too to remind myself not to sweat those small things, like I also tend to do. Be well, Friend! emoticon

I hope you have a great sleep! :) I'm praying for you as you head towards the surgery. No, you may not've lost all the weight you wanted, but, as you said, other improvements have been made, & they're all very important.
