It started around 4 PM, the nagging feeling I needed to eat something. I was not hungry, just antsy about eating. I ruled out boredom, anxiety, depression, thirst. But I drank an extra water anyway, because that almost always works. I really wanted something salty, in fact, if there had been any potato chips in the house I would have eaten a whole bag. A whole 12 ounce bag! I nibbled on some baked wheat chips, and some salty corn chips, but neither calmed the unsettling craving I had. A glass of wine with Stephanie's Easy Poached Eggs and Pasta dinner should take care of it. Nope. By 7:30 I was ready to eat everything in the house! I was still not hungry. What is going on?
Well, my fastidious documenting paid off! I went back to review the day's nutrition plan where I had faithfully documented everything I ate and drank. Click on the "finished tracking for the day" button, and VOILA! I had eaten only 17 Grams of fat for the day. My ideal requirements are 40 - 52 for my height, weight, age and activity level. So I took a thin slice of deli chicken breast and spread a whole tablespoon of peanut butter on it and rolled it up and ate it.
I was very relaxed for the rest of the evening, and thankful for SparkPeople, and proud of myself for my diligence in documenting. I went to bed a happy Sparker.
