Pilates makes me feel....

.... just wonderful. I did that 11 minute CD yesterday, just lounging out in front of the fireplace with my puppies (they didn't do Pilates, they are a bit stiff), and today, I not only noticed that I can feel all my muscles, but also that I am more aware of my posture. The muscle fatigue is not like I experience it after strength training, but more refined, like my body is more toned overnight. I suppose even though the pace was fast, and I didn't follow every move as exact as I would after lots of practice, I got a great deal out of it. And I didn't have to turn my head to stare at a TV screen. I have both the beginners (11 min) and the intermediate (22 min) on that CD. So I think, this will become my go to workout for toning and abs from now on. Every move is so safe and gentle, but with great impact. It doesn't harm my knees or back muscles, and yet it is so effective. what a great way to exercise!

    Pilates is a great way to strengthen your core! I'm glad it's working for you! Just a thought: I found that I got WAY more out of my DVD workout after taking a class for awhile with a certified instructor...she helped me fine-tune a lot of the movements that I was doing wrong without knowing. Now when I plunk in the DVD, I know how to do each movement.
