Time flies when you're high strung....

So, I meant to get back to Sparking... it's on the list. But things happen.
Since my last post, there was Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and some bad times.
Thanksgiving was kept really low-key. Hubby and I decided to stay home and just relax with good food, and he invited friends over. No big deal, but not very fun when it meant we did all the cooking and cleaning and they did the eating. His brother and the she-beast went to the old people's house and we kinda felt bad for not joining them.
Christmas was fun, and we went to see the old people for that, while his brother had to deal with satan's family. There were two or three drunken conversations that week we were there, and we all felt bad.
New years, hubby and I stayed in town, went to a party but left early... tee hee hee. It was a good night.
On January 9th, we got a call from the police department where hubby's brother lived, and we were told that his brother passed away unexpectedly by carbon monoxide poisoning. He had gone out to the garage while satan was at her parents house, turned on the car and went to sleep. I still call bull squash on that, because of the reasoning she gave us... but without proof, there is nothing I can do. We had a funeral, and let me tell you, there is nothing fun about them. It should be called a suckeral. That makes better sense.
It had been over a month since the last time I saw satan, but she stopped by the other night and still showed no emotion. I cried harder than her at the viewing, which goes to show that I sometimes do have emotions... It's really sad that we've had more contact with the death of Dan than we did the last year. Hubby was pissed that he didn't just divorce the crazy broad, and now the family is stuck with her until the baby is 18... Child support would have been worth it....
So, this upcoming weekend is the first time since the suckeral that we're seeing the old people and it should be interesting. Unfortunately, she beast has been invited to most of the weekend activities.
The only perk in all this, was I finally got hired and now work at a hotel on Campus... so that's great, and I get to come home with all sorts of great stories about the drunk/high kids who like to eat.
So, I may disappear again, but here is an update for anyone who cares. Merry March and Happy Spring time! :)
