What I've learned So Far..

For me, I can read it in a book, on a Web page, or someone can tell me, but I don't truly learn it until I experience it. Guess I'm hard-headed.

So I've learned two big things so far:
1. It's exercise that makes the weight come off and makes your body look better - and healthier. I've limited my food intake to nearly nothing to no effect. Gotta make the time for exercise.

2. Gotta eat BEFORE I get ravenously hungry, else I eat everything in the house! I learned that on Friday when I just couldn't eat anything until I was already past the point of starved. Then there was no holding me back. I ate EVERYTHING. OK, so now I know. Next time I'll carry a protein bar with me to eat.

I know there are more lessons to be learned. I'm on my way...

    I agree. I've found that being physically active makes all the difference for healthy weight loss. Otherwise, we have to bring our calories so low that we lower our metabolism and it just doesn't work long term. But exercise increases our metabolism and leads to... successful, long-term weight loss. emoticon
