emoticonThe scales showed a 1.2 drop in my weight. I am so excited to see my ticker move down. I need to lose 1.4 pounds to make my 5% challenge goal for the week, but I will take this. At least I now know I can lose weight, even when I don't think I did very good. I can't wait to see how I do when I master the new healthy changes I am learning.

I didn't get the treadmill today. I did get a raincheck and did a whole lot of walking. emoticon

I did good drinking water today, but had more than 2 cans of Pepsi. Now I know I need to preplan where we are going to eat when Mom and I go shopping. Mom is losing weight without trying, so it is good to see her eat. In a way I wish I had her problem. She has always been tiny and can eat all day. This makes the second time she has been told not to lose anymore and to try to put a little on. It could be that she loves healthy foods, I have seen her eat veggies all day, even a whole bag of radishes in a day.

So I got my exercise in for today. I counted 90 minutes of walking even though we walked about 4 hours. I completed my strength training as soon as I got home. emoticon

Now about the sodium. I learned alot today about eating out. So what if you didn't have breakfast. If you eat out twice and don't watch what you eat, the calories really accumulate. I consumed over 2150 calories and only ate twice today. My sodium was 4302. emoticon We had lunch at Pizza Hut and dinner at Sam's Hotdog.

I will have to really work to make up for today. I guess live and learn applies here. emoticon

    Every victory is a just that. . .a victory! One of the things I am personally trying to do is to pack to go snacks to have on hand. When I go out I just grab a couple. . .nuts premeasured, an apple cut up sprayed w/lemon juice, prepackaged raisons. . . just to name a few.     I think I learn a little more about my healthy lifestyle each of these challenges that I am in. I still struggle with the sodium, but I hope to make at least 5 points today!

    Congrats on the loss!!! I did weight Watchers a long time ago with my mom and husband, and after our meeting and weigh in, we would go out to lunch - either Olive Garden or Outback - and eat whatever we wanted, figuring it was our one "bad" meal and then we could be good the rest of the week. Sometimes I think we need to have a "bad" day to make us appreciate the good ones. I know I always crave salad after a bad day :)

    Congrats on your loss! :) Also, I think we can learn more from tracking our bad days then we could eating lettuce all day and tracking that. It is an experience learned, you tracked it and accounted for it, definitely a success!
    Eating out is always tricky, I think I will avoid it completely during this week of tracking sodium! :) It sounds like you had a great day with your mom, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    Congratulations on the weight loss, but remember that sometimes you need a day to just eat whatever you want, because if you don't it will make it harder to ward of the cravings and then you give up to easily. Good Luck with you journey, you are doing fine.
