A Day With the Old Folks!

Friday, February 25, 2011

Retired, but always busy! It is nearly 11 PM and I still need to complete SP. We just returned from the Club House where our many residents put together a Variety Show which lasted 3 hours and was a blast. We laughed until we cried. Don't ever underestimate the abilities of us old folks!!! And my husband was part of the show!
But now for my Vegetarian Day. DH and I often have meatless days, but now I am trying to have planned Vegetarian Days on a regular basis. Must complete my Nutrition Tracker and see if I got enough protein, which I frequently lack. I really enjoy Boca Burgers and never tire of the black beans I cook from dried beans.
I managed to do 145 minutes of exercise today, 90 minutes of water aerobics and 55 minutes walking time. No wonder the day goes so fast!

I see you are enjoying this retirement thing. It's great to see you were able to put in so many minutes of exercise. Vegetarian is the way to go!!! Delicious vege's, beans, lentils, tofu... mmmmmm. I love vegetarian food.

I have put the cut banana pieces in the freezer.... so on Friday I'll have my banana treat. :-)

Awesome job on the fitness minutes! Impressive!

Vegetarian Day, huh? My husband loves cooking vegetarian meals, and since he's in charge of cooking on most days, well... I'm in for the ride, so to say. LOL!
I am always struggling to eat more protein, though, so I am not thrilled about vegetarian food.

Sounds like you had a blast at the Club House! I LOVE laughing until I cry! :)
