Spring Cleaning and "Catching Up"

Friday, February 25, 2011

Hello, All...

I have been 1/2 way into what I am doing lately. Going to gym, working out; but, not eating right.

Been getting on Spark, getting my points; but, not being too social (no huddling, no board posts, etc.).

Been going to work and getting things done; but, my heart is just not there sometimes.

I think that I am getting a little anxious about my upcoming back surgery. I have just a little over 3 weeks (20 days from tomorrow) until my surgery on March 21. I have received confirmation that my dad is coming to visit--he will stay for about 2 weeks after my surgery to help out! It will be great to have him here (my parents have only visited once since I got to TX--19 years ago)...but, not much fun with me in bed most of the time!!!! I will do lots of reading...a habit I got from him...so, we may just read all the books we have ever wanted to in that two weeks.

I am not "worried" per se...I know that God is in control and all will be to His glory!! I have come to terms with being off work for 6 weeks. This has been hard for me to accept!!!

Today and tomorrow...I am doing some MAJOR Spring Cleaning. Keeping my head and body BUSY!! I got some of it done today...but, I have to stop since my back is hurting so bad. I will try to get lots more done tomorrow!! I enjoy cleaning--it is very cathartic and a GREAT workout, too. But, I know when I have to stop and NOT overdo it...if I do, then I won't even be able to WALK the next day!!

Well...all caught up. I hope all my SparkFriends are doing well and take GREAT care of themselves and their loved ones.

Blessings and peace, All!

Yay for spring cleaning! I am glad you caught us up. Been thinking about you and wondering when your surgery was. That is great news that your dad is coming to help you out. I'll be sending speedy-healing vibes and prayers your way!
