As in just another day in paradise...
Today was my pre-op visit to my primary care physician. On her scale, it was no surprise, that I weighed more than last time, though I have lost a couple since December anyway. My doctor said it was typical to gain while out on disability. Ya think? I am fighting it tooth and nail. On the really positive side, my BP was 134 over 78, she said good! My bloodwork and ekg were fine, and I am cleared for the cervical spine fusion surgery on March 9.
Then, it was just another visit to the allergist - pollen and mold injections. I still need two more injections before being able to go back on the once monthly schedule. With spring around the corner, I really need to stay on target with this for my breathing's sake.
My hubby got the little old Buick registered today, and mailed an insurance claim for me. We did have lunch at Olive Garden, but I opted for chicken and vegetables with salad(no pasta), instead of our usual soup and salad. I felt the need for a little more protein. I ate less than half of a bread stick. We brought home the bread sticks for my son and his girlfriend, who devoured them right after school. My husband and I had leftover salad with whole wheat pasta and tomato sauce with ground turkey.
Today's fitness - morning PT stretches 11 minutes, and a little walking - not really much. When we got home, I was exhausted. See, last night's sleep was interrupted by a call from my husband's boss, and then I had trouble getting back to sleep.
Tomorrow - NO doctor appointments whatsoever~ nothing else til next week - allergist and another pre-op appointment - a class for spinal fusion care. I should be able to get in some fitness activity besides my morning pt stretching routine tomorrow. Three days of running to appointments, and some days with multiple appointments was hectic this week.
getting to sleep at a decent hour - ongoing.
Continue healthy eating
practice new PT routine along with regular PT routine
Getting healthy IS my job.
