Day 5 and I feel like Kanye West!

That that don't kill me can only make me stronger!

Ok, I've been a little off the track with the blogging, so let's recap
On Monday 2/14, I started Fit Body Boot Camp here in Modesto. $197 a month and 5 days a week, and hour per session. Not bad, right? Usually there are 2 or 3 other people with me, today I went earlier and there were 5 other people. Sonya Gonzales is my trainer and she doesn't let me wimp out.

Last week I went Mon, Tue & Wed.

Thursday -My trainer was sick (So I said I would go to the gym and do cardio instead, but when I went back home to get my iPod, I never made it out again)

Friday- I was running late when she called me to let me know nobody else was coming, asked how I was feeling (SORE AS HELL) and said maybe I should stick with 3 days my first week, so I didn't put up a fight.

Partied like a rock star Friday night, consumed a gazillion liquid calories, but I walked to and from the bar and I kinda recall someone saying "Let's Dance" so... at least there was some exercise going on there.

Saturday, Spark walk with the Modesto Spark team. Grabbed a coffee, did about 3.25 miles, went home, took some pain reliever and a very short nap. OK, who here knows that a night of too many alcoholic beverages, followed by coffee and pain relievers can lead to a drop in blood pressure? Well, after getting up off the couch at 1:30pm and feeling dizzy, my son found me on the kitchen floor, where I fell, when I fainted. Scary. Never doing that again.

Sunday, I thought it would be best if I didn't attempt to do much of anything... but eat. SHEESH I ate a ton on Sunday.

Monday I felt 100% again, so I went to training. Guess what? I felt STRONGER! Unfortunately, about halfway through I got a ridiculous pain in my right butt cheek (she said it was my sciatic nerve). So my lunges were decent on one leg and practically non existent on my other leg, but I did what I could and then... I WENT TO THE GYM!!!! That's right, after an hour of training, I decided to go to the gym for cardio. Thought maybe some elliptical or bike might stretch that baby out, plus they have an amazing stretching contraption at the gym. Nothing helped at all, but later that night I was able to rub it out and woke up sore, but without a pain in the butt hahaha

Tuesday I went to the gym for more cardio in the morning, thinking I might try to hit the 10:30 bootcamp (working from home a lot this week). Missed it because I got an iPhone in the mail and was incredibly distracted by it. I had to be at a Future Chef's/Kids Cooking event in Merced, so I thought I would make the 6pm class... but there is no 6pm class on Tuesday! So I came home and played with my iPhone some more. I LOVE that I can track food without going to the computer now :)

Work it, make it, do it, Makes us harder, better, faster, stronger!

Really, I am not a big Kanye fan (I do love me some Daft Punk) but when I came in the house after an hour at training and 45 more minutes at the gym, this was the song that was in my head. I trained with my cousin and my friend today and we did arms and back and I used 10# dumbells instead of 8#!! A lot of medicine ball stuff, some sprinting, crunches, squats and I did it!! I needed to modify like 2, maybe 3 exercises. But I felt strong, almost confident. It was the best feeling!

So Thursday, BRING IT ON!! But please don't kill me hahaha
I think I might make it through the month!!!

    sounds like awesome training...cept the whole passing out thing-you might want to keep an eye on that!
    Yoga would be good for the pain in your rear. A yoga instructor should be able to give you some positions that you can do at home.
