My Sunday..a new addition to the family

I had a great day today. I thought it would be a dreary, rainy day, but it was great! The clouds couldnt have been prettier.

As stated before, its DAY ONE of my 5 week challenge. Started the day with my usual breakfast. Then headed to Target for my new scale since Mr. Scale is heading into retirement. Sure, we had our fun, but its time for a new kid. I head into target and could NOT find the scales! Then , I saw an employee on the end of an aisle. I go to ask her and shes setting up the scale display! Meant to be. lol. I end up choosing a scale that measures in 0.1 increments, does body fat and body WATER percentage accurate to 0.1% (so he says). Here is "Mr. Taylor Scale"

after that, I met Lucy and Ricky. We went to see the Aniston in her new movie 'Just Go With It'. Not the best, but still its ANISTON so, I dont feel like it was a "WASTE!!!" plus seeing her, brooklyn decker and nicole kidman AND hawaii was a little motivating! Then once that was over, we went over to subway for lunch where Lucy and I split the whole wheat turkey sub. WITH NO CHEESE!

Once I split with them, I got a phone call from my cousin wanting to meet with me for coffee at starbucks near our houses (he lives like 5 minutes from me). So, I jetted over there and had my skinny vanilla latte. Chatted with him for awhile, then headed to the market.

I went to Ralphs and they had a sale on STRAWBERRIES!!! Two containers for 3 bucks!! And they look DELICIOUS - SOLD! Then I loaded up on baby carrots, turkey lunch meat, broccolli and then..I found something new.


I absolutely LOOOOVE ranch and havent been able to have it..TIL NOW! This is 60 calories and 5g of fat (or 2 WW points) for 2 TABLESPOONS and tastes amazingly delicious!! I'm a HUGE fan.

Just had dinner, (turkey meatloaf, broccoli, salad with the new dressing, and peas) I logged all of my food and I am GOOD for the day!

Wonderful way to end the weekend (sadly). This whole week at work is going to be insanely busy (they loaded me up with a TON of patients EVERY DAY) so hopefully I wont be getting home super late every night.

    I have a scale like that. I must admit it was depressing the first time I used it, but it's a great tool for tracking progress. I tell myself most of the bodyfat is in my breasts. emoticon

    Ohhh shiny, new scale to start the downard trend of your challenge. I have one with similar features and I like to keep an eye on the fat percentage to gauge my progress.

    I'll have to look for that dressing. I tried one blue cheese yogurt ones, but it wasn't very good. I just bought Kefir for the first time at Trader Joe's today, so I guess I'll see how I like that.

    Hope you make it through this week without too much stress and fatigue.

    Aaaah, 126.4. Now that's a magic number. There's really no variation in weights between the two scales, which is great. You said your old scale rounded up to the nearest .5 or whole and this one shows the .? so it's really exactly the same which is great. No shocks to deal with. A new scale can be traumatic.
