Whiny Dog

Sunday, February 20, 2011

Yesterday I asked my husband to take a walk with the dogs and me to town. He said he didn't want to go, but I made him go anyway because I needed to go to the post office so I wouldn't be able to take the dogs if I went alone. He grumbled, but once we were out there he was fine and enjoyed himself.

Today I asked him to go for another walk and he didn't complain. So we started out on a walk around the block and our dog, Stanlee, whined the whole time. My husband thought it was because he didn't want to go for a walk. He is so my husband's dog.

Before we got our dogs I said I wanted a dog that likes to run around and play fetch. My husband said he wanted a lazy dog that likes to lay on the couch all day and give kisses. Then we got Duncan and Stanlee. Duncan is my dog and Stanlee is his. They are both exactly what we said we wanted. It is crazy how exact it is.

I love them both though. They are very sweet boys and are my babies.

My dog is my shadow and he's happy anywhere I am! Tell you DH that the more he walks (and with his dog), the dog's going to enjoy it, too!!! AND look forward to it! Way to go, for you!!! Keep moving!!! Go Duncan and let's get daddy moving, Stanlee!!!! emoticon

That is too funny! I've never had a dog, but I am often amused by how much dog and owner tend to resemble each other. :)

Our dogs (Buddy, a 10-year-old MinPin and Missy, a 14-year-old Maltese) used to be very energetic, but now they are mostly content to stay on the couch and watch TV. I think that if we tried to take either of the dogs on a long walk, they'd mutiny. :)
