I made omlette's....

Sunday, February 20, 2011

I know - not too exciting - but I have never ever in my life been able to get a true omlette.

Well - I was looking for something yummy for breakfast, and I started looking through my "America's Test Kitchen" cookbook (best cookbook on the planet). I found omlette's with step by step instructions on how to fold them....so I went for it....

I made 3 of them....

Mine was ham, cheese, tomato....YUMMY.....great protien, a few too many calories...but it's good to get the day started, and I won't need to eat a "real meal" until dinner I am so full.

I made ham and cheese ones for the kiddos, and they liked them too....

The kids wanted home fries...but I didn't make them...I would have eaten them... ;)

    Good job!
I've never had luck with folding them, so I end up just scrambling everything together. LOL

Some of my omlettes turn into pseudo-frittatas and sometimes that is quite alright! About the fries... if they weren`t fries I would suggest freezing them to avoid the temptation, but pulling out one at a time when you want it does not sound so appealing!
