5% Winter Challenge

Today is the first day of the 5% Winter Challenge. One of the challenges is to blog about expectations, goals, and reasons to change my life. So here goes . . .
During this 8 week challenge, I expect to lose 10.5 pounds. That means I need to lose 1.3 pounds per week. I also expect to feel better physically and mentally at the end of this challenge. I have not put much effort into my weight loss since before the holidays. I plan to take this opportunity to get back on track.
I will track my food each day. I will do at least 30 minutes of exercise each day. I will walk at least 5 days each week and will do training for a 5K three days a week. I will use my Curves circuit equipment 3 days a week. I will use the elliptical 2 days a week.
I will be walking/running my first 5K on April 16th!!! So for reaching my 5% goal, I will order a new pair of Vibrams to wear that day.
My husband and my son are my reasons for changing my life. They are the most important part of my life and I want to be healthy and able to enjoy every minute that I have with them. I want to be able to travel and enjoy visiting new places without being self conscious about myself. I want to encourage them to live a healthier life too!
