It's been a long time but I think I am ready to get back to me

Friday, February 18, 2011

Well, it has been months since I posted anything on here. I'm not quite sure what has been going through my head during most of that time. I started my job and I love it but at times is physically taxing as I haven't worked on my feet in close to five years. I think that I am learning to manage with the sore feet and aching back but it would be nice to lose enough weight that these things would not be so bothersome.

I have also been working with my doctor (now that I have insurance again) to get my migraines under control and as it turns out I have high blood pressure too. It has been an interesting couple of months trying to figure out the right meds and the right dosage to get it under control. This has kind of freaked me out...I am only 30 and I have higher blood pressure than my 60 year old mom. On the other hand I think we have finally found the right dose of the right meds IF we can keep my potassium up. So now it is on me, to make sure I am eating right to ensure that I am getting the potassium I need.

I know my thoughts are all over the place but that is normally how I think LOL. I am thinking about joining a weight loss challenge that snap fitness is doing. They have a deal going where you get a 8 week trial membership and a easyfit for $99, I'm not sure if it is free if you don't get the easy fit though. But anyway the challenge gives you access to a personal trainer for the entire 8 weeks!!! That alone is worth the $99, now I just have to make sure I have the money and the courage to go and sign up!

I suffer from low potassium as well. I have to take RX capsules for it every day. I keep hoping as the pounds come off the potassium will normalize.

I have a BodyBugg and love it. It helps me track my activity through the day and when it's lagging I know I Have to push to get my burn in.

    Best of luck.
