falling off track and no motivation

I was doing so well for the most part in the month of Janury. I was tracking my food, and exercising for at least 10 minutes a day most days of the week. Then bam I got sick with a nasty cold that was going around the school I work at and since then I have not exercise or tracked my food for the most part. I know what I need to do and everyday I have my plan in place but I fail to put my plan into motion. As far as food I am doing ok, not the best but not bad either, just ok. I know part of my motivation has to do with not getting enough sleep. I have alot of stuff on my mind and even though I am in bed by 10 most nights I am waking up too much every 1 to 2 hours and by the time it is time for me to get up for work I am exhausted. I hope I can get my full 8 hours of sleep tonight because I need it. My plan for the rest of this month is to track the food I eat even if it is just writing it down in the little notebook I carry in my purse and to get in at least 10 minutes of exercise daily.

    I've been there and I use to get a cold everytime I get well into my workout routines. I started taking vitamins on a regular basis (multi and vitamin c) and it's been a while since I've had a cold. As far as lack of sleep - have you had a sleep study done? You may have sleep apnea and you may want to check into it (just a suggestion). I was always tired and never felt like I got enough sleep and my doctor sent me for the test and it made a huge difference. Perhaps if you start to journal all those things you have on your mind, along with food journaling it may give you a sense of release and peace. Prayer always work for me before going to bed. I sleep extremely well afterwards. Whatever you do don't give up!

    You can do this. Try to get your full hours of sleep first. Then try to get your 10 minutes in. It's a one day at a time thing. I had a bruise on my leg then got a virus in the month of Jan, so I too am trying to get back on track. It's slow, but I'm getting back the motivation.

    Hello :) What is your bedroom like, if you don't mind me asking? Some Eastern philosophy believes that if you set up your bedroom a certain way, you will sleep better at night. It could be as simple as clearing out our unplugging ALL electronics, or clearing out underneath your bed. If you are interested in exploring this further, let me know and I'll share some links with you. You CAN get back on track. Look yourself in the eye and tell yourself that every day until you make it happen! emoticon
