Wanted to exercise today and I thought I better not, my ankle has been swollen the last two days. I just want it to get stronger so that I don't have to go slow on the treadmill - I feel like it is holding me back. I am not a patient person and I know that watching what I eat helps and walking slow is better than no walking at all but I am still frustrated... I am in the "Let's Exercise and Lose Some Weight" mode and I don't want my frustrations to overcome that - it is hard enough to get motivated anyway!

Dear God, please help my ankle to heal and become stronger each day. Please help me to be patient and understand that You may have a reason for this obstacle. Please help me to remain motivated to make this a lifestyle change this time instead of continuing to live this cycle of losing and gaining. These things I ask in your son Jesus' name. Amen.

Oh how come I didnt know you were struggling like this. You are doing fine! You just need to take it slow and let that ankle heal the right way. You are walking at least three times a week and I think after you walk you need to put your leg up and relax it and maybe ice it/alternate heat and it will be right before you know it! Also motrin for the swelling!!!!! Keep doing what you are doing and you will be back to normal before you know it! I love you and times have turned because now you are motivating me! Hang in there!

Look at this as another chance to meet a challenge head on and overcome it. Before you know it you'll be back on that treadmill!

I am in a wheelchair and use a walker. There are exercises you can do in a chair even.

Here is a link to a few:
    (just copy and paste)

    Hope it might help.
