Four pounds in a month and a half, so I am NOT the world's biggest loser

Sunday, February 13, 2011

Four pounds in a month in a half might not seem like much. Some people lose that much in a week. I am NOT the world's biggest loser! Ok. Take it another way. I AM NOT THE WORLD'S BIGGEST LOSER!!!! I hear it now. I am not what I have pegged myself: frumpy, 50 year old suburban housewife. I actually kind of rock. I am getting my groove back. So while I might not look it, I am starting to feel it. Like I belong. Last week I was leaping from boulder to boulder in a canyon in Mexico. I was scrambling up rock faces and perching on top of cliffs. I was skinny dipping. I was getting sprayed by whales. I was dancing. I was talking for hours in Spanish. I was reading. I was writing. I was kayaking. I was hiking. I was staring up at the starry sky and soaking up a sunbeam. I HEAR IT NOW. THE VOICE OF REASON. MY VOICE. Four pounds in a month and a half. I am doing the Snoopy dance. I am telling you in a voice loud and clear that I AM NOT THE WORLD'S BIGGEST LOSER! emoticon

That's about a pound a week - and at that rate it will stay gone, so you can definitely crow about it! ALL progress is GOOD progress, sez me, lol...

I am doing a happy dance with you as I think 4 1/2 lbs in a month is awesome!! I have slowed down so much that I would give anything for those 4 1/2 lbs. Good for you and keep up the great work!!
