We all Scream for Ice Cream

I am so obsessed with ice cream!! When I was pregnant I had an obsession with Turkey Hill Swiss Vanilla Almond. I would seriously eat 1 or 2 bowls a night every single night. It was so good, I miss those days. Somehow I still only gained 20lbs. Well anyways that ice cream was a limited edition and towards the end of my pregnancy they stopped selling it!!! Luckily I had enough stocked up to last until the end! Well I was looking on the turkey hill website today to see if they still made it and what do you know! They do, plus they have other yummy flavors. Why do they do this to me?? It's just cruel. I'm supposed to be dieting and they have all this yummy ice cream. Atleast one good one was no sugar added so I may have to try that one, but come on people why rub my love for ice cream in my face!!!!!!! I've been doing so well. I also love fat free frozen yogurt but of course I can't buy a frozen yogurt machine to make my own so what is the good of that.

Well anyways enough of my ranting and raving about ice cream!! I've lost a total of 18.5 lbs so far!!! I bought a size 10 jeans, they are still slightly snug but they do fit!!!! That is so exciting, now if I can just get back into my size 6 and 8 shorts this summer. I sure hope so!!! I've been counting my calories every day like a good girl and have been working out atleast 5 days a week. I'm not the greatest runner but I do what I can on the treadmill. As long as I'm being active I"m not too worried about how long I can run for, or how fast, or for how long. I walk when I need to and I run when I can at whatever speed I can. We actually bought an ifit for the treadmill which has training sessions for 5ks and so on so I may try that to see if it helps me more with my distance and time.

Have any of you tried the kinect for xbox... I LOVE dance central and your shape!! they are so fun and a great work out. the only problem with dance central is my OCD to get 5 stars or on every level of every song. I can't move on until I get them even though the game will let me I won't let myself. I tried 3 or 4 days to get five stars on EASY on the second song and for some reason I couldn't. When I finally did I blew right through the next two levels and the next song. I wish I wasn't so obsessed with being perfect at certain things.

Well enough for my blog! Hopefully I can be strong and stay away from the ice cream or atleast have good portion control!!!

    Lol I love ice cream too, and I allow it in my diet on occassion, I mostly eat the low-fat frozen yogurt now!

    I am an ice cream addict. I admit it. But I've been trying to substitute yogurt. I just freeze containers of yogurt. They freeze hard, but if you let them sit out a minute or two they get creamy. Or those Yoplait Whips are really good frozen. Also you can put the yogurt into popsicle molds (or a paper cup with a spoon) and freeze it for a creamy popsicle. Finally, I make this banana thing that's good as an ice cream substitute:

    I finally whent and had some ice cream tonight. I took the kids to Cold Stone Creamery. I only had a small, which is pretty good considering I love their ice cream plus I haven't had in since at least summer.

    I know how you feel on the running. I do what I can and feel proud for doing it. I have my 5k coming up in three weeks and I'm not gonna stress if I can't run the whole thing. I'm getting out there and doing it!

    Congrats on all the weight so far. I'm hoping to be a 12-10 this summer. I know I'll get the 12 but would love to be a 10.
