The Positive Side of Stopping (APIRLRAIN888 Challenge)

Friday, February 11, 2011

In my last blog I was whining about how far I had come, and how I completely stopped and now I have to start all over again. But is it really all for nothing??? No, it isn’t! This is what I have to be grateful for.

When I first started this weight loss journey in July I was 135 pounds. Sure, I stuck to it for a few months and I got down to 126.6. I came back January 31, 2011 at 133.4 pounds. I DIDN’T gain it ALL back.

When I first started taking measurements in mid-July, my measurements were:

Belly Button: 36
Waist: 30.5
Hips: 38.5
Thigh: 23.5

Did I lose some inches when I lost that weight? Sure did. Did I gain it all back? No I didn’t! See below for the measurements as of February 1... :)

Belly Button: 35.25
Waist: 29.75 (guesstimate, I didn’t track it woops)
Hips: 39.5 (Okay these are bigger, but I like my butt, thank you very much! Lol!)
Thigh: 23

So from July til today I have STILL lost 1 inch all around, and that's great.

The most important thing I can take away from this is that I still have benefits of all that effort. I’m still thinner and healthier than I was in July, and that’s all that matters. That and the fact that I’m back today.

Have a great Friday my Sparkers!
