Garden club, Kettle bells, misc.

had garden club last night--it was fun. we all just went together to a presentation about trees. the guy who gave it is very knowledgable and truly loves trees. We are a fun group and always manage to liven up the room. lots of really nice people there and we all learned a lot.
on the kettle bell front--i am up to FIFTY reps of the basic swing with a 10 pound bell. my shoulder is bothering me just a little, so although i had moved up to the 10 pound bell for my single arm swings, i backed of and did half with the 10 and half with the 5. think i did 20 reps on each arm. the figure 8 is still hard--i am having trouble "finding" the bell as i pass it from one hand to the other. i can do the movement, but i can't really build up any speed. no matter--its the doing that counts. the catch swings are much better--i haven't flung the bell into outer space the last couple of times i have done it. and the shoulder position is still an issue on the snatch swing. most of the time i get it right--and i can feel right away when its wrong. so i have to be careful.
i have had a hard week--for some reason i am in this sort of funk i can't seem to get out of. all the winter work i need to do is just really hard for me to plow through this year. i have been painting slates to get my inventory ready for spring, but i have yet to complete one that i am really happy with. usually by now i am in a pretty good groove. and i normally list daylily seeds on an online auction--and i am struggling with that too. just can't seem to get enthused about anything. and this week for some reason my food cravings have been bothering me. not bad, and nothing i can't overcome, but i'm like--"okay WHY ARE YOU HERE". up until now i haven't had any trouble. calories and nutrients are turning out okay at the end of the day--but my calories have been running a bit higher than they have been--so i won't be surprised to find my weight unchanged this week.
and last night at the meeting cindy (one of our members) asked if we are still "on" to build our master bedroom addition this spring!!!! we approached her and her partner, dwayne about it and discussed it in the fall--but come spring it begins!!!! this is something we have been wanting to do for such a long time. we have spent a lot of time this winter researching and deciding what we want--we have always looked but its ever so much more fun when you can look for REAL. first order of business is taking a tree out--rob needs to make a phone call about that--this tree is in kind of a tricky place and i don't think he wants to drop it himself.
we will meet with them in the next couple weeks and begin the process. we have never undertaken anything this huge before and its scarey and exciting all at the same time. cindy and dwayne do beautiful work so i know we will be thrilled at the end of it. i know its kind of premature--but i already have fabric and paint colors picked out!
