My regrets for the past month

None! Wow. So I've been doing SP for a little over a month and am seeing great results.

Last month, we went out to celebrate my step-daughter's birthday at Black Angus. I had low-cal filet mignon, salad, veggies, and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. I really, really wanted the big chocolatey dessert, but I didn't have it.

Looking back, a month later, would I be happier NOW, TODAY, if I had eaten the chocolatey dessert or passed on it? I would have been happier THAT HOUR if I had eaten the chocolatey dessert, but I am happier now, today, and for the entire time since then, because I did NOT have the chocolatey dessert.

The pain of passing up food is temporary. The rewards of weight loss are forever.

Many times, especially around New Year's, I have said to myself, If I had started a diet last year, I would be skinny now. But I never did. Well, this year I did and I'm so excited!!

The other day as I was applying lotion to my calves, I felt a bump. At first I was worried but then I realized -- THAT WAS A MUSCLE! My exercise of choice is walking up and down the stairs at work, 18 floors a day and that really works the leg muscles.
