So long, farewell...

This week I finally got to say goodbye to the 170's again!!! I hope to never see them again emoticon I changed things up a little bit, just by changing my breakfast. I have eaten cereal and fruit for breakfast for as long as I can remember. It's quick, easy, and I can get on my way fast. I have never been a big breakfast person but have always eaten breakfast. My simple change this last week, two slices of whole grain toast with peanut butter and banana. Yep, still quick, still easy, and yet it made such a difference. I am no longer hungry an hour later. In fact most of the time I was not even hungry until lunch but still had a post workout snack of yogurt midmorning with my son. Today we were out of bananas so I had to go back to the old standby and I could totally tell the difference! I guess I could have made an egg or something for protein but I did not feel like it. Moral of this story, for me anyway, eat more protein at breakfast. I also took measurements again yesterday and lost just about 3 inches overall this last month. All in all I am happy with my progress. I feel more confident, more energetic (most days), and know that I am making changes that I can stick with forever. Oh yeah, one more change this last week, my husband decided to do Atkins diet again (he does it every once in a while) so snacking in the evening has not been as big an issue, except for last night.

    I think I may have to change up my breakfast routine as well. It's usually cereal and fruit...and like you...my stomach is growling long before lunch rolls around.
