What Spark means to me

Monday, February 07, 2011

This was from a message board I recently wrote on. I liked it, so I want to have it on my Sparkpage.

Spark is the reason I believe in happy endings! It's my go to place when I'm having a weak moment, when I'm not feeling motivated, or when I want to further educate myself on new health/fitness tips. I find the recipes useful when I'm looking for a healthier alternative to some of my favorite dishes or treats! Spark NEVER GIVES UP ON ANYONE. NO one is left behind. It's a community with soooo much energy, passion, and love. The most important thing I've found with Spark is that it's REAL! There are no gimmicks, there is no one trying to steal your money (it's free), it's about working on yourself to live a more fufilled life in your own way. Everyone's journey on Spark is differnt and that's what makes this site so incredible! Were not all on the same fitness plan, were not all on the same diet plan, were not all marathon runners, but we all share the common interst of wanting to live well together! Spark celebrates and acknowledges member success. I know first hand. Spark submitted my story to People magazine for the Half Their Size issue this January. I MADE FRONT COVER! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! Spark gives back to it's members. I will always be grateful for EVERYTHING this site has done for me and everything it will do for people in the future. The thing that personally impressed me the most with Spark. Ofcourse I was so thrilled to be in People, Today show, and all the other amazing things that I've recently got to do. The thing that touch my heart the most was Bruce Corwin. He's the writer of the Slowest Loser Blog. He's the man that spent months chatting with me and keeping me updated with People magazine and helping me feel comfortable for my BIG MOMENTS! He lives in Pennsylvania and he even came to meet me in person before I went on the Today Show. He had to get on a bus at like 4am. This man is an extremely busy individual but it seems he's never too busy to SPARK. I was so excited/nervous meeting him because, he had become a friend, a mentor, but realistically this man was MY ANGEL. My grandma just died this past year two days before my birthday. She promised she would watch over me and it wasn't long after she said this that I got to start living this incredible dream and have the opportunity to spread the Spark with the world. Spark has made me believe in happy endings because it's the shoe that fits!
