Number13 on my blog dated 01/30/2011, states exercise.
After I weighted in this past week I have again gained instead of losing.
What am I doing wrong I ask myself. I share my plight with others. They tell me the same thing keep eating within your points, drink water and exercise. (I am working with WW and tracking on Spark) emoticon

Ok, I still am doing that and still gain emoticon Boo Hoo

The weight lost is going slow enough but I most certain don't need to gain. I sometimes feel that this is truly a losing battle(no pun meant)
I am getting discouraged......

You have to swap out your exercises every few weeks as your body gets use to them, you need to keep it guessing by switching.

I had another thought, too. I have been doing what I am supposed to pretty well, but the scale is not very cooperative. I finally realized I needed to change something. Diet was pretty OK, so it had to be something else...i.e. exercise. I have upped my exercise level...not heaps, but some. I also am trying to NOT do the exact same thing every day...I love the workouts I do, but change up is supposed to get better results. My scale isn't moving fast but my body is changing. I LIKE the changes, too.

So, see where you can change things. I needed more veggies and more movement, even though I was doing "enough". emoticon

I know it is disappointing when the scale doesn't move in the right direction. Your friends are right - you just have to keep doing the right things. Did you take your measurements? Sometimes measurements show changes even when the scale doesn't.

Could it be that the exercise you are doing is building muscle? Perhaps even building muscle, which weighs more than fat, faster than you are losing fat?

Whatever you do, DON'T quit! Don't stop eating right. Don't stop exercising. Don't stop drinking that water. In due time, you WILL get results.

Our bodies fluctuate with water retention, hormonal changes, all sorts of things. Just keep on doing what you need to do and someday, you will be delighted with a weight loss surprise.

Remember the scale is only one tool to measure weight loss. Are you feeling better because of your good eating choices? Are you feeling more energy because of your exercise? Are your clothes fitting any differently? All these are indicators of your good choices that are just as important as what the scale says.

I'm sorry to hear that the Scale God is not showing you any love. But stick with it - eventually, he'll come around.
