Well I have had a great week. My first week in my new job and I am settling in well and have been welcomed into the team really nicely. The commute is no problem and I am not feeling as tired as before because I get home a bit earlier. The job itself is good and I am just getting to know how the company is structured and how the HR department functions within the Company. I am excited as the HR Director is keen to evaluate all the processes and make changes and improvements where possible.
I am liking being back in an office and it is great to be part of a team. We have an away day on Tuesday to discuss the HR Strategy for 2011 which will be presented to the board of directors so looking forward to seeing what projects could come out of it and give us an idea of the workload for the coming months.
I bought myself a load of new office clothes last weekend so am feeling good and got a pair of killer heels which I love! There is just something about wearing heels for a girl that just makes you feel sooooo sexy and good about yourself. I am also thinking that it will get me used to heels for the show! (fingers crossed anyway)
I am starting to get my eating back under control, i.e. having the right thing at the right time and have got myself into a routine in the office. I have had to set my alarm on my phone to remind me to get my protein shakes as I tend to not realise the time in the afternoon but this helps. I have also started taking some eggs and chicken or ham for the train journey home as I do not have time when I am home before the gym so at least I get something before I workout.
The weekends seem to be the hardest time for my eating as there is no routine so I tend to miss meals and then eat the wrong thing and this is something i really need to combat and sort out. Only not too sure as to how to approach it! Like today for example, I had a lie in and so did not get up till 11:30am, half the day is gone and half my food has not been consumed. But I guess I do not need all of it as I have only just woken up! I am somewhat confused and so not sure what to do about it.
The workouts are going well, although I missed a cardio workout this week but not too bothered about that as I still got quite a lot done.
I am starting to look at myself a lot more in the mirrors and my OH said he can see that I am getting more toned and my muscle is getting more full and solid so am feeling good about that. He said my posing is crap so gotta practice at that but don't think that I am quite ready for it just yet.
As it is valentines this month I have booked myself and my other half in for a meal at my favourite restaurant and so really looking forward to it. They do the most amazing butterfly chicken with tagliatelli. Can't wait to go and have a nice meal and get a bottle of champagne, although will be driving so will have to wait till I get home to open it! It is my favourite Piper Heisdeck Cuvee Sublime, yum yum!
Anyway going to go as am being watched by my other half and I like this to be my diary not have him looking at what i am writing!
